How it works
We use personality-profiling to match you up with a group of other mums or mums-to-be, based on location, background, interests, attitudes, due date / age of children - and more!
When you sign up we ask you to complete a 10-minute questionnaire. With hundreds of variables, this enables us to build up a pretty good picture of who you are.
Our systems also plot the home location of all our members on a secure map. We don't publish any of this information, it is purely for our system algorithms and support staff to use for matching purposes.
Our systems continuously run profile comparisons to find the most compatible mums in each local area. When suitable matches are found we generate a group profile (see examples below).
We then introduce the group via email and help you arrange a time and place for brunch, afternoon tea, or dinner to meet your group of Matched Up Mums.
Members also receive exclusive offers and discounts from Match Up Mums' partners.

"Dear Ines, Miya, Angelica, Ingrid, Marianne, and Alexi,
Congratulations, you are our 19th group of Matched Up Mums! Here is a little bit about you all and why our systems matched you up as a group...
You are all expecting your first babies in October this year at Chelsea & Westminster hospital. You grew up in varied locations from Brazil to Munich but are all settled in the Wimbledon area now. You are all educated to degree level or higher and have had senior-level careers. It's fair to say you haven't always taken the obvious route - your group includes a doctor who became a management consultant and a trained teacher who went to work in the City instead of the classroom. So you'll have some interesting stories to compare on that front. All of you hope to go back to work part-time or full-time at some point.
You all like socialising with friends and/or family, checking out a new restaurant and keeping fit by running or going to the gym. In terms of personal values, those that matter most to you are ambition, positivity and decisiveness, and in your friendships you place a high value on loyalty, spontaneity, intelligence and honesty.
You are all looking forward to baby music classes, baby sensory, baby yoga and playgroups - we hope that you will enjoy doing some of those things together, so let’s try and organise your first meeting! Our suggestion is that you agree a date and time to meet for an hour at a local café and we will help you to arrange that now..."
"Dear Sarah, Chloe, Annabel, Gemma, and Charlotte,
Congratulations, you are our 33rd group of Matched Up Mums! Here is a little bit about you all and why our systems matched you up as a group...
You are all expecting your second baby around September / October this year, and you all have an older child aged between 2 and 3 years old.
Three of you grew up in the Midlands and two in the South-West, but you all live in Crouch End now. You are all educated to degree level and the group features some of the more creative careers – an actor, a designer, two events managers and an illustrator. You all plan to be stay-at-home mums for a little while now.
All of you like visiting new places – especially restaurants. Other favourite pastimes include catching up with family and friends, shopping and you all enjoy watching films.
In terms of personal values, those that matter most to you all are positivity, adventurousness, creativity and trustworthiness. Your parenting style is either to copy what your own parents did, or to have a rough routine in mind.
You are all looking forward to music classes, baby swimming, baby sensory and trips to the park. We hope that you will enjoy doing some of those things together – so let’s try and organise your first meeting..."
